Feast of the Ascension

The Feast of the Ascension commemorates the day our Lord Jesus Christ ascended into heaven, forty days after His Resurrection. After appearing to His disciples and confirming His victory over death, Christ blessed them and was lifted up in glory, seated at the right hand of the Father.

This feast affirms Christ’s divine nature and the completion of His earthly mission, while giving us hope in the promise of eternal life. It also marks the anticipation of the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost.

Celebrated with joy, the Ascension reminds us that our hearts and lives are called to be lifted up with Christ.
