Feast of the Holy Pentecost
The Feast of the Holy Pentecost commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles, fifty days after the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. On this day, the disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit, empowered to preach the Gospel to all nations, and the Church was publicly established.
Pentecost reveals the work of the Holy Trinity and the abiding presence of the Holy Spirit in the life of the Church. It is a celebration of renewal, unity, and the beginning of the apostolic mission to the world.
This feast invites us to live by the Spirit, bearing witness to Christ in our daily lives.
